We have the pleasure of inviting you for the NICOLE Network Meeting “Sustainable
Remediation – A Solution to an Unsustainable Past?”, which will
be held on 3-5 June 2009 in Leuven, Belgium. For the introduction to the conference
theme we refer to the attached preliminary program.
Program in short:
- 3 June: meetings of NICOLE Working Groups, the Industry group and Service Providers
group
- 4 and 5 June: conference on Sustainable Remediation
The agenda's for the Working Group and Subgroup meetings will be provided by WG-leaders
and ISG and SPG secretariats later in spring.
Registration:
If you wish to attend this event then please send an email to the NICOLE secretariat
(marjan.euser@tno.nl) before 28 April, indicating to which parts
of the event you will participate: Working Group meetings, ISG, SPG, welcome reception,
conference, conference dinner (dinner costs 40 €).
Venue/hotel accommodation:
The event will be held in Leuven, at the Provincial House of Flemish Brabant. The venue
is located on walking distance from the railway station. There
are direct trains from Brussels airport (Zaventem) to Leuven; travelling time 20
minutes.
At two hotels accommodation has been blocked until 1 May:
- Novotel, Vuurkruisenlaan 4 (5 minutes walk from the railway station / 10 minutes
to conference venue), price of room 140 €, please use the hotel
booking form for claiming a room at Novotel;
- IBIS, Brusselsestraat 52 (city centre – 15 minutes walk from railway station /
conference venue). Room price 119 €. If you wish to book a room at
IBIS, then please send an email to H1457-RE@accor.com and mention “NICOLE” as reference.
As you may notice from the preliminary conference program, there are still a couple
of unconfirmed speakers. The Organising Committee is busy
sorting this out and we hope to send you by the end of March a more final version of the program.

NICOLE mnembers can register their interest directky by e-mail to the NICOLE Secretariat,
marjan.euser@tno.nl and by sending the accomdation form to the hotel.
